Here is a proposal I wrote in 2019 for the University Faculty Council (UFC) at the University of Mary Washington, my alma mater. The sample broadly illustrates my ability to break down a big idea into actionable steps and write persuasively with a specific constituency in mind. The UFC eventually adopted the proposal in full. Beyond Mary Washington, however, this proposal laid the foundation for a surge of student activism on college campuses regarding class cancellation on Election Day, leading to successful campaigns at Stanford University and the University of Virginia among others.
